The Maine Narrow Gauge RR Co. was created in 1993 to bring the Maine Narrow gauge equipment back to Maine after 50 years of exile at the Edaville Railroad Park in Carver, MA. Since then, the Maine Narrow Gauge RR Co. and Museum has taken on the task of preserving Maine's narrow gauge railroad history using original equipment from the various 2-foot gauge lines in Maine on 2 miles of former standard gauge track along the shores of Casco Bay in Portland.
Black 5 Video gives you a taste of what its like to spend a day on the waterfront with the MNGRR. You'll take a guided tour of the museum, get a lesson in hand signals, enjoy a ride behind diesel number 1 and take a cab ride in ex-Monson RR 0-4-4T number 4 during the National Narrow Gauge Convention.
Filmed in HDTV, wide screen, on standard DVD-R, 31 minutes, color.
